Mene is from humble beginnings, born in Serbia and residing in the capital Belgrade also known as the ‘White Fortress'. His music is a reflection of Belgrade's cosmopolitan feel, having quickly gained a reputation for his dark raw grooves packed with his own inimitable fusion of Hip Hop and House dubbed by some as 'Hip House'.
His quality is reflected in the labels he has already released on to date: Elrow, Moan, Material, Roush, Sura Music and Amine Edge & DANCE's CUFF imprint. This has seen his music regularly supported by the DJ elite Dennis Cruz, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi and The Martinez Brothers.
Mene's DJ sets are a reflection of his productions delivering Hip Hop-infused House and Techno, oozing class and swagger connecting with the dance floor taking them on a journey. This has seen him play numerous respected events and festivals alongside heavyweights of the underground Destino Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Fire Stage at Love Fest, Dance Arena at Exit Festival and Too Long Milan are some of the most noteworthy performances to date.
This is only the beginning with highly anticipated upcoming releases on Deeperfect, CUFF, Encasa, Kaluki and Dennis Cruz’s MUSE. While somehow finding the time to launch his own label TOZLA, trailblazing a new musical path within the underground. TOZLA will combine tech house, hip house, hip hop and techno with grooves at the core of the label's identity. Expect some trademark Mene beats dropping at the start of 2023.
